Using labels

Using labels

Labels are very powerful for relating multiple OGSMs to each other. For example, you can indicate with a label to which parent strategy your plan contributes. Or you can indicate which departments are involved in a strategy. You can create cross-sections based on the labels on the dashboards and in external BI software.

There are two types of labels:

  1. Central labels: these are centrally managed and can be used in all OGSMs and the brainstorms.
  2. Specific labels: These are specific to an OGSM and can be added by users.

Manage central labels

Rights Required: Administrator or Editor

Only users with the platform role 'Administrator' or 'Editor' can manage the labels.

  • Click on 'Settings' in the menu on the left and choose 'Labels'.
  • Click on the plus icon at the top right to add a new label.
  • Type the text of the label.
  • Optionally, select a color or type the HEX code of the desired color. The label is displayed in the OGSMs and brainstorms with the set color. if no color is set, a neutral color is used.
  • Click on 'Save'.

  • In the label overview, click on the title of a label to edit or delete it. Changes are reflected in all places where the label has been applied.

The set labels can be used in all OGSMs on the platform.

Add labels to an item

The Administrators and Participants in a group can add labels to items.

  • Edit the item you want to add the labels to.
  • Click on the 'Labels' field.
  • Select the desired label. You can also select multiple labels.

It is possible to add specific labels. These labels are all available within the current OGSM.

  • Enter the specific label in the 'Label' field.
  • Press to confirm the label.

The set labels are now visible in the OGSM and available for filtering in the dashboards.

Labels with actions

You can also add labels to actions. There is no need to label actions the same as the strategy they belong to. Actions are automatically linked to the label of the strategy.

In the example above, the actions in the dashboards can also be filtered on the labels 'Marketing' and 'Product'
